[October 5, 2008] Rhône-Alpes et l'Arménie: une amitié formalisée
Fort du dynamisme de sa population d'origine arménienne et de ses très nombreuses collectivités territoriales jumelées ou coopérant avec une collectivité arménienne, le territoire rhônalpin est un moteur de l'entente franco-arménienne. La Région Rhône-Alpes contribue et soutient cette très forte implication des Rhônalpins envers le maintien et le renforcement des liens avec l'Arménie. A l'occasion de son Assemblée plénière du 25 septembre 2008, la Région Rhône-Alpes vient de voter une Convention de coopération avec l'association des communes d'Arménie.

27-ը մայիսի, 2008թ.:Ստրասբուրգ: Եվրոպայի խորհրդի Կոնգրեսում Հայաստանի պատվիրակության ղեկավար Էմին ԵՐԻՑՅԱՆԸ Կոնգերսի 15-րդ Պլենար նստաշրջանի աշխատանքների առաջին օրը վերընտրվել է կոնգրեսի փոխնախագահի պաշտոնում: Տեղական ու տարածքային իշխանությունների Կոնգրեսը ԵԽ երեք քաղաքական ինստիտուտներից մեկն է: Էմին Երիցյանը միաժամանակ Կոնգրեսի Տաղական իշխանությունների պալատի փոխնախագահն է, Կոնգրեսում մեծամասնություն կազմող EPP քաղաքական խմբի փոխնախագահը, Կոնգրեսի Մշտական եւ Ինստիտուցիոնալ հանձնաժողովների անդամ է:
Երկու տարի ժամկետով Կոնգրեսի Նախագահ է ընտրվել Թուրքիայի ներկայացուցիչ Յավուզ Միլդոնը: Կոնգրեսի նոր փոխնախագահ է ընտրվել նաեւ Ռուսաստանի Ֆեդերացիայի Խորհրդի նախագահի տեղակալ Սվետլանա Օրլովան:
[March 31, 2008]Second edition of the Rome Millennium Cities Prize
The Chair of the UCLG MDGs Committee, the city of Rome has just launched the second edition of the “Millenium Cites Prize. In this new edition, the awards will be given to cities who have distinguished themselves through special Millennium Development Goal achievements, thereby contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of their most vulnerable constituencies.
The first edition was inaugurated with the award to the former UN Secretary General, Mr. Kofi Annan, for his role in the promotion of the UN Millennium Declaration and the Millennium Development Goals.

[27/03/2008 14:00:00] The Ukrainian Government’s new Concept of State Regional Policy will be at the heart of discussions during a seminar to be held in Yalta, Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Ukraine, on 3 April. Participants will hold an in-depth debate on how to develop further regional self-government in Ukraine. The seminar will be followed on 4 April by the Congress’ Working Group on “Regions with Legislative Powers”. [March 26, 2008]Congress to observe second round of People’s Assembly elections in Gagauzia, Moldova
[26/03/2008 18:00:00] A delegation from the Congress, including representatives of the EU Committee of the Regions, will observe the second round of the elections for the People’s Assembly in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, the Republic of Moldova, which will be held on 30 March 2008. The Delegation, led by Paolo Rondelli (San Marino, SOC) will be deployed throughout Gagauzia on Election Day.
