Armen Harutyunyan, Executive Director of the Union of Communities of Armenia, held a meeting at the World Bank with Arman Vatyan, Lead of the World Bank’s Public Sector Accounting and Reporting (PULSAR) Program and Lead of the Public Expenditure Management Peer-Assisted Learning (PEMPAL) Program, and Narek Minasyan, Deputy Head of the Financial Department of Yerevan Municipality.

The main topic of the meeting was the potential use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the preparation, processing, and analysis of various types of reports.

The participants discussed the opportunities offered by the introduction of AI tools into financial and administrative processes. In particular, they explored ways to make the processing of large volumes of data, organization of relevant information, preparation of reports, and data analysis more efficient.

The meeting also addressed the idea of launching the process of introducing AI tools in Yerevan first, as a potential pilot and practical foundation for the subsequent implementation of similar solutions in other communities.

The participants emphasized the importance of applying modern digital solutions to improve community governance and financial reporting processes. The appropriate and targeted use of AI tools can help save time, process data more quickly and systematically, and optimize the preparation of reports.
