Rind (Population` 1726)

The Rind village was founded in the early 1800s by Shorgetsi Simon, after that Melik Balin and his brothers, Aghabab and Grigor settled there, together with Zargar Tadevos and other families.
In 1967, due to landslide, the village was relocated and settled in the Taps area adjacent to the old village.
 
Rind village is bordered by the communities of Yelpin, Chiva, Areni, Aghavnadzor, Hors, and Tartatums.
The remains of the XII-XIII century church, chapels, khachkars of XIII-XIV centuries were preserved in the village.
