On September 17 the online meeting of The Monitoring Committee of the Congress of local and regional authorities was held.  

 The Monitoring committee meeting also was attended by the հead of Armenian delegation to the Congress of local and regional authorities of the Council of Europe, the president of the Union of communities of Armenia Emin Yeritsyan.

During the Monitoring committee meeting the Secretariat of the Congress informed that the Congress had received an invitation from the Government of the Republic of Armenia to observe the local elections which will held in the Republic of Armenia.

Taking into consideration that Armenia is among the monitoring and post-monitoring countries, it was stated that the observation mission to the local elections in Armenia is important as well as appointing special rapporteur.
