A delegation of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe is making a follow-up visit to Turkey on 1 December to update its 2019 report on the application of the European Charter of Local Self-Government in that country.

The delegation led by co-rapporteurs Vladimir Prebilic (Slovenia, SOC/V/DP) and David Eray (Switzerland, EPP/CCE) will have meetings with the Minister of the Interior, Mr Süleyman Soylu, and the Mayor of Ankara, Mr Mansur Yavaş, as well as with the Turkish delegation to the Congress.

The delegation will also meet with representatives of Turkish political parties.
