Thanks to the construction of the Akhuryan reservoir in 1958, Karmirashen horticultural farming was established, which changed the economic situation of the village and contributed to the settlement of the village. The settlement was formerly owned by the Talin region and from 1983 to the newly-opened Baghramyan district. The main settlement of the village began in 1950 from the highlands of Talin and Artik regions, and from 1960 to Javakhk. The population increased in 1965 from the number of repatriates immigrated from Iran in 1967-68.
