The settlements included in the administrative territory of the community are: Syunik, Ditsmayr, Sznak, c. Bargushat, g.
 
The village of Syunik was founded in 1900. The French, who exploited the Kapan copper-mining site, build a foundry here, around which the settlement was built. 1929-58 Syunik was a supporting economy of Kapan Ore Processing Plant. Syunik khorhtntesutyune created in 1958, which was incorporated in 1960 Siznag, Gharachiman (Ditsmayri) V.Gyodaklu (Vardavank) N.Gyodaklu (Bargushat) Khalaj (Achanan) Shharjik, Achakhlu, Bekh, Sevaqar and Shabadin (Yegheg) villages. In 1984 Sevakar and Shabadin (reed) separated from the Syunik Council. Syunik village until 1982  fell in the administrative territory of Kapan, and community Siznag, Ditsmayri, V.Gyodaklu (Vardavank) N.Gyodaklu (Bargushat) Khalaj (Achanan) and Khordzor (Bakdash) settlements Siznagi village administrative area.
In 1982  Syunik  was separated from Kapan and established as an independent administrative uni. In 1991 Syunik village were separated from Khalaj (Achanan) and V.Gyodaklu (Vardavank) villages, forming an independent administrative unit. (Gharachiman) N.Gyodaklun (Bargushat) Khardzor and Siznag (Sznak) villages were inhabited by Azeris,before 1988 and after Azeri's departure villages were inhabited by Armenian deported from Azerbaijan.
