The history of the V. Dvin village began in 1805 when 20 Syrian Assyrians moved to Turkey from Mammadan settlement and settled in Gyolaysay settlement of Artashat region. The reason for the deportation of Assyrians from Turkey was the extreme cruel and inhuman treatment of Turkish feudal lords. The second immigration of Assyrians to Armenia took place between 1826 and 1828. During the Russian-Persian war, under the Treaty of Turkmenchay (which was signed between Russia and Iran in 1828 in the Turkmenchen village). 100 Syrian families have been granted permission to live in Russia and settled in Armenia.
