''The Future We Want-2045: shaping our future together” online-discussion conference attended by the mayors

On April 28 on the occasion of 75th anniversary of UN was held an online-discussion conference called ''The Future We Want-2045: shaping our future together”. The discussion was attended by the mayors, by deputy mayors, experts.
Armenia mayors also participated in the discussion. The president of Union of Communities of Armenia, the member of World Council of UCLG Emin Yeritsyan made a report on how the global trends affect the work of Local and regional authorities, which are at the frontline of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the conference initiated by UN, at the request of UN the World Organization of United Cities and Local Government will prepare a report on the future challenges of local and regional leaders and the vision of the future. The report will include the vision of the representatives of different regions and local and regional bodies of the world.
The report will be prepared on the results of the online-discussion-conference. The conference was attended by the representatives of the local and regional assosiations. They will have their contribution in the formation of the report.
The main message of the report, which the United Nations World Organization of Local Cities and Local Authorities wants to make available, is based on the following key ideas:
