  • Community Services ` The arable lands (279 hectares), grasslands (197 hectares) have a large share in the agricultural lands. State lands are mainly used as pastures, making 669 hectares. Also used as arable land, grasslands, orchards that have a small proportion of their weight. The direction of the village specialization is agriculture. Population is engaged in cultivation, fruit growing (pears, apples, cherries), cultivate cereals, fodder, melons and gourds. They are also engaged in cattle breeding and bee-keeping. There are mining, processing and power generation enterprises in the community.

The village is mentioned in the 13th century manuscripts and  was part of the Tashqank province of Gugark. It has a 17th-century church. A monastery is located near Agarak. There are many ancient settlements in the area. The ruins of the Holy Mother of God Church.
