Congress Secretary General addresses the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers at Deputies’ level

Congress Secretary General Andreas Kiefer addressed the Committee of Ministers at Deputies level on 13 October.
He gave an overview of the work done since March 2021 and underlined that the thematic, statutory and operational activities of the Congress address current threats on democracy and gave examples on how local and regional politicians contribute to preventing the erosion of democracy from inside, to ensuring trust in democratic institutions, to successfully promoting anti-corruption schemes and human rights as well as gender equality.
