The Union of Communities of Armenia is launching development activities of a new 2021-2025 Strategic Plan. The Union starts the process taking into consideration that the term of current Strategy expires and also for planning annual works to avoid uncertainties caused by the COVID-19 epidemic.

For this reason the Union will form a group. The schedule of the activities is already set.

The working group will be formed such as that the balance of regional, gender, city-village representatives, party balance is provided. The members of the group should be the presidents and the vice presidents of the Standing Committees and also 2 representatives from the coordinating councils of the Forum of  Community Councillors, from the Forum of Municipal Servants.

The members of the group will be confirmed by the Board within the terms set by schedule.

The Union as a developed institutional organization has its Strategic Plan. During years activities the Union has had its specific strategic plans: training, communication, financial stability plans.

The Strategic Plans were developed for 2006-2010, foռ 2011-2015. The Strategic Plan for 2016-2020 was developed in 2016 February-July, by the support of experts of Council of Europe. For developing the Strategic Plan was formed a group which members were the representatives of the Republican Council. For the development of the strategic plan more then 100 heads of communities were involved and the drafts were sent to all communities of Armenia.

The Strategic Plan was approved in 2016 July 28 by the Republican Council.

The discussions about 2016-2020 Strategic Plan were organized during the Board meeting in November 22 then during Republican Council meeting in January 11 in 2020.
