Union of Communities of Armenia, announces " How local actions could address the global challenges of climate change?" essay contest. The contest is organized in the framework of the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW2020), EC “CoM East” project.

The contest if for young employees of local administrations and municipal organizations representing the Covenant signatories in Armenia, as well as pupils and students of educational institutions of the participant communities.

Essay requirements: 

• Volume: 1 -1,5 pages of А4 format,
• Font: Sylfaen,
• Font size: 11
• Line spasing:1

It's preferable that the essays reflect provisions of the Sustainable Energy (Climate) Action Plans of the communities or the energy saving, renewable energy and climate change mitigation provisions of the municipal development strategies.

Essays should be sent to the following email [email protected] from June 15 to June 23.

The essays meeting the requirements of the contest will be published in Facebook pages of Union of Communities of Armenia and of CoM East project.

The jury will select the winners on June 25.

When evaluating essays preference will be given to those works that won in similar competitions organized by Covenant signatories within the scope of the EU Sustainable Energy Week and submitted to CoМ East project via email June 25.

The authors of the three best essays will receive prizes from CoM East project.
