On November 22, the session of the Board of the Union of Communities of Armenia took place.

During the session were a number of draft laws on the sphere of local self-government which are in circulation were discussed, as well as already adopted legal acts.

Then the Board discussed the priorities for 2020, in the framework of Union's 2016-2020 strategy, the Union programms, the needs for 2020 according to priorities.

The Board also covered other programmatic and organizational issues, including the Union's financial sustainability strategy and actions, staff strengthening within the Union's institutional strengthening, structural changes, the Union communication development and more.

Appropriate decisions were made. It was decided to convene a meeting of the Republican Council in December.

The Board sessions are convened not less than four times a year. The Board ensures the implementation of the decisions of the General Assembly and the Republican Council and implements the work plans and the general financial management of the Union. The Board prepares draft policy positions for the approval of the Republican Council and is responsible for effective advocacy and representation of the Union vis-à-vis the Government, National Assembly and other relevant bodies.
