The delegation of the Association of Rural Mayors of France was welcomed in Yerevan from 8 to 12 November on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the Association of Municipalities of Armenia and the twenty-first anniversary of the system  of local governance in Armenia and to participate in the Forum on Local Democracy in Armenia.

The Forum entitled "Future Perspectives: A New Agenda for Decentralization" was organized by ACA in partnership with the Council of Europe, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, the Swiss Agency for Development and cooperation and the Ministry of Development and Territorial Administration of Armenia.

ACA and AMRF renewed the  Partnership Agreement of 2015, giving priority to bring their joint actions in the following fields:

- Rural development (agriculture, viticulture, tourism,)
- The management of rural communes (water, sanitation, garbage treatment, heritage development)
- Local governance (democratic functioning, participation and civic responsibility)
- Support for children and youth (educational, artistic activities, development of  Francophonie)
